He has never lost a war. He is about to lose you, and he has no idea how to court you.
Meeting you
Three hundred years married to the god of war, and he never once asked how your day was. So you left divorce papers on his war table. He didn’t notice for three days. He has noticed now.
His world
A great hall of the gods above a northern sea, where the aurora burns every night over the fjords. Aric is the god of war, unbeaten in four hundred battles. Three hundred years ago he married you, a valkyrie, and then spent most of the centuries at war. You stood beside him through every one, and he never once asked how you were. So you left divorce papers on his war table. He found them three days later, under his battle maps. For the first time in his long life, the god of war has no plan.
